The National Stadium, also known as the "Bird's Nest," is situated in the southern part of Beijing Olympic Park Central Area. It served as the main stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. With a total site area of 21 hectares, the stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 91,000. It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, as well as athletics events and the football finals.
